An EU-funded professional urban design workshop organised by French NGO Les Ateliers internationaux, to develop and improve the design of an emerging new city for 600,000 people in central India.

Matter Director Roland Karthaus led the workshop together with Florence Bougnoux of SEURA, selecting international, multidisciplinary teams to work in collaboration with the local development agency, NRDA. The principles of ‘rediscovering’ the intricate, existing landscape within the new masterplan have been substantially adopted by the NRDA following the workshop.
